Exciting News for Myanmar Literature and Culture Enthusiasts!

Mingalaba!

We are planning to offer series of free webinars designed specifically for Myanmar speakers and learners, aiming to foster the growth of the Myanmar language, literature, and culture.

In our upcoming webinar, Professor Dr. Nyein Nyein will be leading a discussion on “The New Literary Movement / khiʔ s̀ɑ̃/ and its Pioneers.” In the 1930s, a literary movement known as Khitsan / khiʔ s̀ɑ̃/ (“experiment for a new age”) emerged within Rangoon University, which greatly influenced all subsequent Myanmar writing.

During the session, the audience will gain valuable insights into the nature of the “Khitsan / khiʔ s̀ɑ̃/  literary movement,” its pioneering figures, and the literary gems it produced during this transformative period.

This webinar comes highly recommended for those with an interest in Myanmar literature and cultural studies, Myanmar language teachers, as well as individuals keen on delving into Myanmar language and culture, including Myanmar language learners.

Kindly be informed that the webinar will be conducted in Burmese. We extend a warm invitation to foreign participants with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Burmese to actively participate in the session. Your engagement and contributions will enrich the overall experience.

Seating is limited, so we encourage you to register promptly to secure your spot. Your support means the world to us!

Thank you for your enthusiasm and support!
